Tiger Woods
“No matter how good you get, you can always get better.” A very famous quote said by a very famous person, Tiger Woods. Some say he is the best golfer in the world; I say he is the best, but that’s just my opinion.
Tiger Woods was born in Cypress, California on December 30, 1975. His dad, Earl Woods, was a great golfer that young Tiger looked up to. When Tiger was young he would sit in his play chair and watch his father practice golf shooting golf balls into a big golf net in the garage. Tiger’s father taught him how to hold and swing a golf club. Tiger had entered in his first tournament when he was four and came out victorious. He was already signing autographs at the age of five and had already been undefeated in over thrifty junior tournaments by the age of eleven.
Did you know that Tiger Woods is the highest paid golfer in the world? He has won over $50,000,000 in career earnings. He is one of the highest paid athletes ever. Hank Haney is Tigers golf teacher and almost all of the things Tiger was taught came from Hank or his Dad. He has won the Masters tournament, PGA tournament, American tour, and the British tour all in a period of two years. He is sponsored by Nike, one of the biggest and best sponsors of golf.
He is married to Elin Nordigen and has two kids, Charlie Axle Woods and Sam Alexis Woods. Tiger now lives in Orlando Florida. Did you know that Tiger’s average swing speed is 125mph but an average person’s swing speed is 84mph.
Tiger is going to keep on golfing until he can’t hold a golf club any more or hit a golf ball. I think Tiger Woods is a great person; he has some great characteristics and is a great role model. Did you know that Tiger was only 8 years old when he got his first hole in one.
